Matte Black Grills on SGM (Pics)

Just got my matte black grills installed last night with the help of a friend. And all I can say is wow. This simple mod goes a long way in adding to the look of the car. Pretty easy install and doesn't require the right-angle tool if you can squeeze your hand behind the bumper haha.

They are from WheelSTO. The build quality is solid and so is the finish.

It is amazing how much better the grilles make certain color cars look.

grills look hot, but what's up with your hood? it doesn't seem to be properly aligned.. i thought it was still slightly open, but it's lined up with the left headlight. that gap above the grills is quite a bit....

....was just about to say that. I know the M3's also have some hood alignment issues too. Was it not fully closed when you took the pictures or is this the way it has been?

Grills look great though!

MUCH better, I did the same on my car and haven't looked back. For some reason I prefer the matte for some contrast too.

Looks awesome! It's a good compliment for the cars, IMO.

It was fully closed I think. Hmm, never noticed it before. But now it's bothering me...

There's a thread on M3post about it because I saw someone else's hood that way and remembered thinking mine didn't look like it had that much gap in it.

Here's two pictures I jacked from SL01 and KeithLM to show how little of gap you should have...

You can get it aligned

Thanks FOXYone, I will get it aligned. But unfortunately, I need to take care of this first...

LOL. That is by far the oddest thing I've seen. I'm sorry to hear you have to deal with that, but good luck getting it cleaned up.
