Afe exhaust whistle?

Any one noticed a exhaust whistle?

Check your bolts tighten everything down. Maybe your gaskets. Whistle is usually a leak.

How loud is the whistle sound? You sure it's not the slight faint sound of your turbo lol

Most likely is.

If the dia of the exhaust tips is too small, you'll increase the velocity of the exhaust gas and cause a resonance.

It's the tips. All of the exhausts that have an unmuffled split to two tips near the rear of the car have a pretty big chance of whistling a little at WOT on our cars.

i had/have this issue. I blocked one pipe and the whistle got worse, its actually a half throttle whistle for me. Just finished installing an m-factory LSD and the whistle is now much less. main difference is when the exhaust was re-installed the slip joint b/w mid-section and axle back is in a slightly different position. made a big difference, both cases it was leak tight.

i read on another forum someone saying that slip joints can cause exhaust whistle. I would say any abrupt pipe ends within the muffler or just prior is cable of this particularly on a straight through exhaust. some of the finish within mufflers is pretty poor. nice and shiny welds on the outside, sh888y exposed pipe ends on the inside.

r.
