Trip to NED Earlier This Week

I ran the 135 at New England Dragway on Wednesday night, with serious traction problems. I ran a 13.1 at 116 MPH, and clearly I need to drive better and pickup some drag radials.

Does anyone have any plans for the drag strip this summer?

Nice trap speed, your car is definitely cooking just need her to hook up. I've been debating on taking her to the local strip, but for me it's a slippery slope. I'll want to get faster so I'll throw more money into it, then I'll be looking for turbo upgrades, not to mention how hard drag racing is on the car so something will more than likely break. I don't want to go down that road again.

+1 my thoughts exactly.

What mods do you have and can you post the slip? Its not that I don't believe you or anything but I like to analyze the numbers on the slip.

I got a new computer, and while I can print wirelessly, the scan feature is being a little bitch. Here's the info:

R/T: .312
60': 2.430
330: 6.062
1/8: 8.838
MPH: 89.94
1000: 11.205
1/4: 13.157
MPH: 116.23

Mods are VRSF ceramic-coated DPs, stock mids, Maddad Whisper axle-back, BMS intake, VRSF 7" FMIC, M3 front sway bar and rear subframe bushings, GIAC Stage II Race File with 100 octane Sunoco racing fuel, on stock wheels with PSS tires 235/255.

Haha thats fine, yeah I can see that you need to work on that 60ft. Otherwise, it clearly shows that the car is making good power for the mods that you have. 116mph trap speeds is scooting!

I'm hoping when it's above 55 degrees later this summer I can get better grip. Or maybe I'll cruise the classifieds for some DRs!

You still have a lot of room for improvement on that same setup. Just practice modulating the throttle when starting and then gradually go WOT. This of course takes practice and several passes, but its not overly complicated.

My best 60ft on stock runflats (which suck for traction) is a 2.071, so if you can knock down a couple of tenths on your 60ft, you could run low to mid 12s.

116mph is good for mid 12s. you'd definitely be there with a 60' below 2.0. which is doable even on street tires.
