Bimmerworld TE:AL TA16 17x8.5 ET40 & BBK

If anyone cares, the Bimmerworld TE:AL TA16 17x8.5 ET40 wheels easily clear the Stoptech ST60 fitment template.

Good to know. Do you have the square setup too? I like the design and weight and it's 17in! I wonder if the same applies to a Stoptech rear big brake, does it use the same template?

Yea, it's a square setup. I'll be running a set of 225/45-17 MPSS.

The ST40 rears use a different template, but I overlaid the two. There's even more clearance in the rear, about 2 more millimeters where I labeled the front template "3.5mm".

But I figured, once you go the big brake route, you can't use the 207Ms anymore since the barrel isn't as roomy as that wheel. I guess that's the disadvantage.

Exactly, the 207Ms are getting all-seasons, though the 135i guys could use these as track wheels as they already have 18s that fit a BBK.

I'm confused by the cutout through the lug bolts. I always though you wanted the rim flat to the brake disc, both for strength and for heat dissipation. That cut to me almost looks unfininished.
Or am I just nuts?
