I've ordered my car too (see sig), but with the 18" M193s. I just couldn't resist!

When are you going to take delivery?
Dante, thanks

You're right, I have been very busy. You have made an excellent choice as well. Congrats. Your car is loaded with options, nice! I hope you won't regret the 18" wheels, but they look fantastic. I'm sure you won't regret the chosen colour. TiAg with M Sport looks great. Expected delivery of my car is January 2007.

Thank you, too!
I test drove both wheels and it wasn't a big difference in riding comfort. But the 18"s follow tracks a little more.

Now the wait!

Yes I know. Fortunately, the e46 still drives great after 200000 kilometres.

The only downside of getting a new car in the winter, is that you will have to mount the winter wheels. I know in Germany you are obliged to drive on winter tyres. In The Netherlands, it's up to yourself. I have chosen for the winter wheels below:

Exactly! I'll have 158 or 159 as winter wheels, don't know yet. But I prefer 158!

At least we have something to look forward in summer 07!

The Sparkling Graphite e90 below has 158 Styling wheels. Dante, when you order 161 Styling, BMW will probably advise you to buy 4 'front' wheels. This means 4x 225 instead of 2x 225 (front) 2x 245 (back). 245 is very wide for a wintertyre. 245 in the back would look better (the wheel arch would be filled better), but I think the 158 Styling wheels still look good. And, like you say, at least we will have something to look forward to.

Thank you, bearfoot!

I already bought the wheels from my dealer (used with only 500 kms on them), he said they are style 159. I haven't got them yet, but I think it's rather likely they are style 158, because BMW sells mostly 158s as winter alloys.

Will have to wait and see.

I picked up my 325i last week on wednesday. Since then it has rained and stormed a lot in The Netherlands. So far, I have driven 1100 kilometres. The car really drives like a dream. Today I decided to clean it. The picture above isn't very nice, but I didn't want to drive the car in the rain after waxing it. My impressions so far:

I-drive: works well but a little bit slow. I thought I loved the navigation last week, but then it sent me in the wrong direction. Furtermore, it takes some time to get used to it.

Suspension: so much better than the e46!

Fuel consumption: . I hope this will get better! Current average fuel consumption: 10 litres/100 km. my e46 320i: 7,9 litres/100 km.

Engine: so much faster than the e46 320i (I know, 218 instead of 150 HP). Response to the gas pedal is great, it reacts immediately. The sound of the engine is great as well. The start button works nice too, it automatically gives a nice bit of throttle after pushing it to start the car!

Interior: the Alcantara sport seats look good and feel very well. All materials used for the interior are very good.

Exterior: I think the car looks great and I'm happy I went for the M Sport Package. I love the lines of the car. The car is easy to keep clean.

Transmission: The 6-speed automatic gearbox is a huge improvement.

Cruise control: works very nice. I also like it that the speed is shown 'digitally' as well!

M Sport steering wheel: this steering wheel looks and feels great!

Overall handling: . I really don't need a manual gearbox with such a great automatic transmission!

As you can see I'm very positive so far. However, I would be very disappointed when the car won't get more fuel-economic.

Hey bearfoot,

glad you enjoy your car, tons of details to discover!

What do you think about the xenons? Do you have the adaptive-feature like I do? As you know, I'm not too happy with the lights...

Have fun!
