So I just did a test on my desktop as if I was going to run the update in winKFP. From the pictures you posted it's showing 8611324 as the Assembly ID number. Possibly it highlighted and selected it without you realizing it. I can post a photo by photo guide if requested but simply just ensure that the ZB# 7614241 is highlighted and in the Integration position box be sure Unverbaut is highlighted and click ok. Another way is simply just double clicking the ZB# and it will bypass you needing to worry about the Integration position box which only has the two options anyway. But always be sure to double check that the Assembly ID # above the Hardware # in WinKFP matches the ZB# you're trying to code. This goes for any coding done with WinKFP, ZB# & Assembly ID# are interchangeable. Try those steps and let me know how it goes!

Just open INPA, then select your car.
Then Select functional jobs, that should get you to the part where you can select UIF and you can take a screen shot of what information it shows. Do the same for information.

Error 106 in WinKFP pertains to your daten files. You need to update your WinKFP with the Coding Tool, also known as updating your SP-Daten. Bimmergeeks website has V60.1 daten files which have what you need. There are plenty of guides on using the BMW Coding Tool to update. After that try to code the 130i ZB# again and let me know if you have trouble.

there's an error for the gearbox oil - needs a service, will that cause the connection not to work?

also reading up the 7614313 is a generic number? i am not sure.

Yeah my issue to be honest is the hardware number. Have you got TeamViewer. May be we can give it a go. What cable are you using by the way.

That error from what I understand is still saying it can't find the gm1912.ipo file it uses to perform the update. How exactly did you go about updating the daten files? Like BK said if you have TeamViewer we can help more. I'd still like to see the UIF screen to ensure sure also coding for the correct hardware number.

So I have sent you a PM, It will be good to see the information on INPA to be absolutely certain we are looking at the same ECU. I know SA manufactures certain BMW things. So check your PM and we can try sorting it out and report back here on the experiences for others.

Hi guys, i managed to get it to work.
Friday the 21st, a whole week ago, i tried it with my cable. Got error 2089 on winkfp. gearbox is locked. did a whole lot of research and the cable was the issue. a whole week went by....couldn't get my hands on an icom. read up how to update the cable so that it is basically updated to a bimmergeeks cable. in doing so, fried my chip, though i think it was another error connecting from an Arduino to the chip. i got another cable yesterday that had six wholes on the board that were easier to connect. figured the software out and this morning i got the updated cable to load the 4241 file to the car. winkfp showed coding complete or done or whatever and the gearbox went into the gears. so THANKFUL. i'll do a write up on how to update your cable. there are a few out there.

shew, very happy with updated 130i gearbox. car is def better in D, and D/S is also so much faster. i need to get use to this as i see my self in trouble very fast.

here is my write up and links etc to update your cable.
if you have a generic dcan cable and not the correct bimmergeeks then you MUST update the cable before updating via WINKFP.

If your hardware number is 7581875 as you say then your ZB number you need to code is 7584980. That should get your transmission working. Specifically in the file it's for E8xN52B30M1 USA. Let me know how it works!
