wildlife on the track
almost ran over this groundhog. it was a very close call with obvious dire consequences for everyone including one lucky marmot. the video is from my friends car following me. I saw the critter sitting on the side of road coming out of turn one and immediately started thinking should I just run it over or avoid. I guess the right thing would have been to just mow it down but I am happy I didn't have to scrape the carcass off my car afterwards. to put it mildly, it was a heart stopping moment knowing a porsche 914-6 was breathing down my neck

When I lived in Pennsylvania I was a member of a gun club so I could use their shooting range. I liked working up loads to see if I could improve the accuracy of my and my son's deer rifles (not because they needed it, just because I wanted to). Groundhogs would occasionally wander onto the range. Then it was a contest to see who could vaporize them. A 22 caliber would kill them but a fast moving 30 caliber would splatter parts all over. They were not around when it was cold but could come wandering across about any time there wasn't snow on the ground.

^lol that's aweful.
I was firing my .306 at a target 150 yards away and just as I was pulling the trigger a squirrel climbed over the top of the target and I hit it...it vaporized and I felt so bad I couldn't shoot the rest of the day...how do you live? |

anybody on here read jalopnik? there was a video up there this morning of an australian enduro racer barely missing a kangaroo
even better was the reply post with a slant-nose prototype style car absolutely CHUCKING a deer into the air. and the best part was that the driver took it totally in stride...even stayed on line! car seemed totally fine
