BMW 1 series value is holding up

I've recently read a Japanese article regarding the 10 lowest deprication cars in Canada.
the 1 series is ranked #9 on the list.
it surprises me that none of the other BMW models are listed.
folks, you've made the right choice.

I think it's crazy to try and anticipate the 1 series value in 2013 given the incredible change in cars right now, but I definitely think the value will hold up given the very high satisfaction reflected on this forum and other places.

Agreed, for a start off it's not just sold in the USA. Try including NZ, Australia, all of Europe...

And it bears little resemblance to a GTi other than the fact it is a Golf. Different engine, different suspension, different drivetrain, different seats and different interior trim.

Nice car though. I had the pleasure of thrashing one on an autobahn once
