TIL I dont properly appreciate the car i've owned and loved for nearly 7 years.
Wait, holy hell. Ive owned this car for over 6 1/2 years!?

The 1 is great because it never fit in with the rest of the BMW lineup. Its just an oddball and has so much character for a car. Its goofy all around and it still puts a smile on my face when I look at it. Thats a pretty impressive feat for a car that ive had since 2008.

Must be pretty nice up on that pedestal.

I prefer to base a car on its own merits and not fall victim to marketing. The E82 has been compared by BMW to both the 2002 and the E30 M3 in marketing materials. So which is it the spiritual successor to? More than 10 years separates those two cars and theyre fairly different.

But hey, im just a filthy commoner who cant properly appreciate things for what they are.

Just ignore this dude. Look at his other posts, he's not here for camaraderie among E82 owners, he's here to feel better about himself by tearing down others.
