Idrive cars with CIP19.01 is RDS on ?

Guys that have Professional Nav ( the standard Nav in the USA ) and have updated to CIP 19.01 is your RDS on the radio working ? ( showing station names )

Also confirm that it wasnt working before

sorry to kind of answer this backwards and if your post is directed to those members from the USA, but i have had RDS radio station names displayed on my iDrive since i took delivery of my car in July.

now i don't have the security clearance level to find out my car's CIP software version but would it be of help for your records or interest for me to obtain the security rating or should i call my dealer and see what they can tell me.

what else does or is CIP19.x supposed to update? not that iam needing anything, just curious.

Ive updated by qustion to say "Professional Nav"

I think Business Nav has always had RDS on

Im still trying to figure out country specific upgrades in CIP 19

How is your research going E90Fleet? Don't you have access to the official breakdown of what's included in the upgrade?

The break down they released only stated what software fixes there were ( I posted it here), it doesnt show what has been added

There is also thew word now that pre and post September cars may not have the same capabilities for personal settings.

I got the so called september update this week and nothing has been added to my i drive capabilities. I don't think I have DRL either and don't know where to turn it on/off

The new software was supposed to turn it on according to the document i got

E60 owners have confrmed theirs have gone on

Oz, For DRL go into your Idrive and go to Vehicle settings ( I think its i )

Then look for light settings

See if there is a setting for daytime lights there

Then come tell me what you find

Any improvements to the responsiveness of the iDrive system? As I now have had my car for 3 months this is probably my biggest annoyance. I just came back from Europe and was driving in my friends 2005 A6 touring with Nav. The system is lightening quick in movement through the menus. It makes the iDrive look like a prototype.

That was one of the fixes and people have reported you can see the difference in speed

The Audi system and the BMW system are based on the same MOST framework developed by the Mostcooperation, of which BMW, Audi and Mercedes are founding members

Pathway lightning - 40 sec
Auto headlamp - Normal

And Triple turn signal which is a check box

Then it hasnt been added

That is the correct menu where it would be

The question now is do September production USA cars have it or not

Yeah, it's pretty disappointing considering the fact that everyone in other parts of the world had the update MONTHS ago. I don't see why it would be hard for US to get the update faster.

It wasnt supposed to have much for Idrive guys

The biggest problem is a lot of things are country specific.

But BMW NA is talking about RDS being on ( I think the dealer will have to turn it, but at least it should now be possible )

MP3 for Idrive is delayed it seems ( 5 Series apparently having hardware problems with it )

The USA didnt get DRL activation in Idrive, but some countries have had it for a while

And it seems some of the non-Idrive September functions we heard about are not possible in pre September built cars

Anyway there is always CIP 20 in late October/November to wonder about

i have the latest 19.1 update and nothing at all is new.

No RDS, DRL or MP3 for idrive

Thats what i get for getting my hopes all up
