Wheel fitment question - too close for comfort?
Guys - fairly new to the 1's and been doing some research about wheel fitment. I'm wanting to purchase a set of wheels that I think might fit (may require some light rolling in rear, spacers in front?) but would love some advice from the experts on here. It will be on a stock height m-sport
Front: 19x8 et28 Rear: 19x10 et44 And, if you think it might work, what size tires would you try? Thanks for the advice |

That setup is over 6mm more aggressive and closer to the fenders than what most of us are willing to use, especially in the front. If you hit a large bump or put some weight in the car you will rub, even if rolled. The only way this will work is if you plan to run around 2degrees of camber. In that case this is not a bad setup. However most use camber in cars that are lowered, with the stock suspension it will look pretty awkward. Btw, spacers will make these wheels fit worse.

Just in case you were still considering it. My calcs would put the outer rear rim outside the rear wheel arch by about 10mm, so if not running super stretched tyres and massive camber thats gonna rub like a bitch with crabs. Fronts as you have now spotted would also be Carlos Fandago Specials..
For a 10" rear rim you'll likely need a 50 offset and for the front 40 and over is the usual minimum offset. HTH. |

Definitely would not work at all. 1-Series use extremely high offset wheels.
