Lease Payment Calculation Formula:
(Cap Cost – Residual Value) / Term = Depreciation
(Cap Cost + Residual Value) X Base Rate = Interest
Depreciation + Interest = Base Monthly Payment

Terms Used in Lease Formula:
CAP COST = Vehicle Purchase Price (amount financed)
RESIDUAL VALUE = MSRP (window sticker) X Residual %
TERM = Length of Lease in Months (3 years = 36 months)
BASE RATE = Dealer’s Buy Rate (dealer can mark this up for profit)

NOTE: The manufacturer (captive) lease programs provided are for reference only. Base Rates may vary by region. Your dealer has the option of offering you a higher rate.

Excellent to see the rates lower even than October! Especially great to have the Holiday Credit to combine with such great rates! Thanks for posting these!

the MF is good, but the residuals went down also. Ran my lease (36m, 15K) each way (October / November) and the difference is only $1 once you factor in everything including the holiday credit, so essentially, things didn't change for me.

Ooops, I didn't catch that; good point, thanks. I (rhetorically) wonder if we can choose the Oct rate/residual + holiday credit...?

Not unless the car is already on order and you locked the earlier rates in. If the payments wash out you're better off with the lower residual if there's any chance you will buy the car at lease end.
