Brake light wiring

Just did a manual swap on my 135i and my brake lights are constantly on. I know you're supposed to run a wire from the transmission to the nfrm. The wiring diagram runs that transmission wire through a connector and goes to the nfrm. What's the connector in the middle??

Your brake light switch needs to be pushed back in towards the pedal. When you do the swap it has a tendency to move back.

the wire you are supposed to run to the nfrm is the reverse wire. the brake light wires stay the same

Thanks very much. I'll look at that today. I could do without the reverse light for a bit
