You really don't like it, do you. Funny thing is that I've been listening to The Smoking Tire podcast recently and Matt said that he neither goes to DTLA, and he lives in Venice.

No, I have not Ian. My car is fairly stock with just the rear M3 subframe bushings, Michelin PS3 tires, stock suspension and a tune and FMIC. I am at the point where I really should change out the shocks/springs and the front M3 suspension bits.

You might find it exciting, my son does. I was born and raised there and that has something to do with how I feel about it. Hell, I know members here that live in LA that can't stand it as well, so to each their own, I guess.

You really should, especially considering how easy/cheap it is. Huge reduction in understeer.

Continuing off topic, I had coilovers and RSFBs installed with bigger tires soon after buying. Then added M3 front sway bar. Handling was improved immensely, but doing the M3 front control arms and adding more camber just transformed the car. Couldn't believe how planted the front end was and the quicker turn in. Great investment for not much money.

Lots of Fun!
Why bother with the DCT if you like to shift, just buy the manual? Besides the manual would be lighter, cost less, more reliable, and more efficient since the DCT has a fuel penalty!
I bought the DCT because it does a better job shifting than I ever could, and I can keep both hands on the steering wheel, safety is important in heavy traffic. |

I got DCT cuz I'm already proficient with manual on track and if you're thinking about your shifts you're not going fast enough. DCT also lets you keep both hands on the wheel for more control.

DCT Sport mode does a pretty good job of keeping your RPMs in the optimal spot.

Seems like we have proven that opinions are like @ssholes. Everybody has one, and their own is very important to them...on paper anyway.

On my 3rd 135, 08 vert-steptronic, 11 vert- DCT, 13 135is vert- DCT. If you can find one the "is" with the performance exhaust which is "orgasmic" and bump in hp. No problems with previous ones, didn't plan on the "is" but came across one with 2.9k miles on it and bought it Dec 29, 2014 and got a great deal. Now have 36k miles and no issues. 1st thing to do when you get one is ditch the run flats.
