However I definitely changed the way I drive this year compared to before, which sucks cause I know my baby likes to be revved.
Jesus! 60-70 a tank???? I'm filling my tank at 80dhs, approx 25$ at 98 octane. Gas prices in america is seriously costing too much.

I' very happy with my mods, you can also add a 330i/x3/etc intake manifold and a european aftermarket tune to bring the power up quite a bit from stock(230bhp->275bhp), headers can be added also for some additional power.

I've put almost 20k since i've owned mine in the past 10ish months, and it puts smile on my face every morning when i start it

I moving to florida so no emissions test there, so I'm thinking of just straight piping it, should open it up quite a bit. Tune and manifold and maybe some lowered suspension. Lastly tint and call it a day.

I have a muffler and resonator delete, i'd recommend keeping the mid cat's since they get rid of the weird smelling exhaust and provide minimal to no power gains when removed. The headers are where the power is since the stock ones are so restrictive, very similarly to the n54/5 downpipes.

Awesome thanks, I had a complete 1 piece straight exhaust in my subaru but maybe no smell because it's horizontally opposed, thanks for the advice. So downpipes, manifold, muffler/resonator delete, tune as far as engine performance?

Headers technically, but yes that's the ideal 128(130)i setup for a fun and reliable car. it'll be surprisingly quick to most too.

Sorry, used to modifying Subaru excited to start modifying a BMW now. The 330xi has just felt like it was perfect balance and didn't need to modify it. I was wondering why your sig said 130i but I get it now the 3.0, alright when I'm ready to buy in the first week of July then whatever I find lowest mileage cleanest it's between the E82 (preferably) and E46 M3 and E92 328i.

Also just noticed you're in long island, once I buy the 128i I'll be near Stony Brook visiting my sister and spending some time in Staten Island and Manhattan with family, unfortunately it's cheaper to go to school and live in Florida and I don't have financial support like they do so Florida it is, are there any meets in Long Island that I should hit up before I head south? I still remember being L.I.E and seeing an M3, S2K and a Civic SI run in the cars only section but I was on the all access side and couldn't run them in my Subie but destroyed a Gallardo in Queens then got destroyed by a Shelby GT500 on my standard map. Love NY.

There's a lot of e90 meets but virtually no e82 meets. we have a facebook group we try to make events in, but its usually a few 1er's tagging onto another car meet. We keep the tristate section updated on here too usually. I live on the east end of the island, but i commute to Oakdale for school, i feel you on the college costs haha.

Hi Nixolas, gas in the states is cheaper. Unfortunately in Vancouver, Canada we are at 1.444/L for 87 octane which is our lowest and that puts 94 octane at 1.614/L.

I remember in the 90s when my dad would fill up his 750iL and it would come to around $30. That car was a beast =P

Get a 6 speed, no nav, no sunroof, xenon, heated seat, M Sport 128i. Nothing to fail and a very similar driving experience to your previous models.

I guess I could always just put in a Nav, I haven't lived in Florida for 8 years so I'm going to be using Nav a lot, does Dynavin fit in the 1er also? And unfortunately I'm a sunroof guy but xenon and at least sport is a must. I thought in 09 they fixed the iDrive issues?

Yea sucks the nicest places to live are the most expensive. I'll be sure to check the forum before I head out and hopefully I can find a decent meet to head to. There was a decent one last time I was there at Andres Carne de Nueva York (I'm Colombian) so I'll be sure to hopefully meet up with some BMW nuts.

Have had two friends fail post '09 iDrive to a tune of $5k or whatever. Not something I want.

Sunroofs just leak/make nose/fail and add weight to the worst part of the car.

Oh wow I thought they fixed iDrive, yup Dynavin it is. And I've had an E34 with 564k, E36 with 267k both with original sunroofs and seals etc that didn't leak and worked perfectly fine. I'll be tracking the car very conservatively at PBIR but would want the comfort of the sunroof in Florida, a cracked sunroof makes a huge difference when the car is sitting in the sun for 3-4 hours as far as temperature inside.

Fair enough, certainly easier to find one with.

I wouldn't be so down on iDrive if it didn't take the whole car with it.
