from my experience working at the dealer. if you do not let the rings seat correctly you car will burn oil. couple quarts between oil changes

If you follow the manual, you should never have a problem. I always have and never a problem. Then again, my brother goes WOT as he leaves the dealer and has never had a problem. However, he only keeps the car for 1-2 years.

I've heard mix reviews on this all the time. Some people say do the proper break in with varying speeds/RPMs etc. Then some people say drive it how you are going to be driving the car. With everyone saying they never had any problems. I read that 1 guy has driven his car how he was going to be driving it with the past 6 cars he's own with no issues on any of them. I've even heard to do the break-in up until 100 miles and then drive it how you want after that.
Me I just do the regular break in until I changed the oil then drive it how ever I want. But this is my 2nd new car so I don't have much info other than that to input. |
