Removing Engine Cover

So, planning to repaint my engine cover, basically how to remove it?
and also considering to order another one and paint it, then install it..
how to remove?

based on the diagram is the only thing i need to order the engine cover? does this cover includes the "Powered by BMW M" decals?

thanks

The one with the "Powered by BMW ///M" is a different part number from the standard N54 cover... There's a thread around here somewhere about it...

EDIT: Looks like you've got the right one - part number 11.

You start by removing the HVAC filter.Search for the screws as they are all visible. then you remove the cowl. and finally the engine cover.

The link below is BMS JB3 install video for 335i. Follow it to get an idea for hvac and cowl removed. It won't be very different for you.
