I am fairly happy with the price tho, so thats good enough for me. I was tossing up between Shannons and Justcar, I went to justcar as Shannons are very expensive for underage female drivers (my wife) and were really cagey about doing the insurance as a company. |

Wow Clinton, My insurance dont know half of my mods. My mate owns a body shop so if something happens the car will go there first and I'll pull everything off.

I understand it might not have been the right policy for you if your wife is under 25 and you didn't consider the price competitive enough for the benefits. Doesn't make sense to save on pennies if you're going to miss out on pounds (or preferred repairer) down the track IMO though. A few "ifs" there JB. You might not have a say in the matter at the time, depending on circumstances, and I'm sure you wouldn't want your insurer to find out the hard way what you've done to your car. Your money, your car, your call however. |

My policy increased by about $400 this year, last year it was around $800 with NRMA, the renewal came in at $1200, with a $10000 reduction in agreed value, went from a $64000 agreed to $54000, I actually went with AAMI, even though I hate their service, they gave me $780 premium on agreed value of $45000, so a week after the renewal, NRMA called me up about our house and contents policy and asked if I wanted to renew the 130i policy, I said I went with AAMI as it was cheaper, and they said, give us the policy details etc and they would beat them by 10%, so, 20 minutes on the phone with NRMA and 30 minutes on the internet getting quotes from AAMI etc... and I ended up with a $715 premium with NRMA, who I've found have been pretty good, especially when it comes to a couple of $1800 windscreens they've replaced.
So being in Toowoomba it looks like the price from NRMA went up by $400, but after shopping around, ended up getting it cheaper than last year. Home Building & Contents went up by about $300. |
