Nice find. These are the most interesting comparison pics. If the "Powered by BMW M" moniker wasn't there, could you tell the difference between the two?

not only the caps, it has the M3 struttbrace
This is the only thing I could notice, which is strange, as I would expect to see some difference... (my 335 engine bay looked different after the ppk was installed)

Both motors look the same - yes. But mine looks different!

My N54 engine doesn''t have that round black canister (w/the two silver mouning bolts) behind the driver's headlight. What is that for? Looks like the top/cap unscrews. ???

Maybe be my N54 is ULEV CA specs - since all military sales cars are always CA specs.

Can someone take a picture of their engine and a close up of what that black canister is>?

Goodness! Those wide fender flares are driving me crazy. I love my car, but yes, this is something I would get into if I had the chance!

I agree, the fenders are almost enough for me to get one now I see the side by side.

Has the 1M got the signature M eye bags on the front lights as per the M3 that Scott said it would get?

Other than the LCI changes I don't personally see it?

If so what bit?

There appears to be an extra hose extending straight back from the left side headlight. I imagine it is related to the auxilliary radiator.

Hmm. 135i is better-looking front-on and rear-on but the side "not a vent" crease and M mirrors definitely improves the side view on the 1M over the 135i.

Changed my mind. If I had a 1M then it would have to be black to disguise the front and rear bumpers which I'm not super fond of, upon reflection.

They're the bits I want to stand out!

Hence the orange and white options.

Maybe I'm just used to it, but I think the 135i looks better. The lines seem to flow better.

Wow. That car just became ugly to me. The front and rear valences are hideous w/all the extra lines. The wider track and fender flares are farking sweet though. And the 19" CSL rims are bad ass.
