Honestly, I wouldn't do it if I was you. Im looking to go 245 soon. Im tired of the rubbing on bumps. I might even have my fenders cut. Its a PITA to get them rolled flat, and I cant have fun with the car like this. Yes it looks great, but in my opinion, not practical at all.

I actually just got myself a 2009 135i and picking it up this week, and I am thinking of lowering it and putting 19" , I don't have the sport suspension , just stock, if I was to drop it abit like 1.5, should I be ok for not rubbing and not doing all that rolling etc...?

Looks ace. Just get the fenders rolled, it's cheaper than new tyres.

Not bad unless the car has more than 2 people.

Are you on the lowest setting for the ST coilovers?

I'm planning to go lowest on ST coilovers with 18x8.5et45/18x9.5et50 VMR 710's 225/40/18r and 255/35/18r.

I will definitely roll my fenders, and get them pulled if they rub still... but what are your opiniions on this?

I might also get spacers +5mm in front and +10mm rear, because someone already did the set up I've mentioned and they say they didn't rub, but I'm confused as why you rub. Is it because of the e45 in the rear?

Here is the link to the 1er I'm talking about: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=526472

This makes me want to try the 19x9.5 Forgestar F14's with a 42 offset to get their "Deep Concave" that you don't get with the 19x9.0's. I purchased this car last week and so far has been the most difficult car I've owned to date to try and by wheels for

Back to the original thread...car is absolutely gorgeous man. I'd love to see how it looks with the 245's on it, have you tried dialing in a little more camber in the rear to help alleviate some of the rubbing issues? I agree with the "semi stretched" look, perfect for euro cars imo. I hope the 245's don't look too stretched though

Thanks for the compliments!

Thanks!
Dude, GLWS, and flush as hell...Do you have camber plates or ///M suspension parts that made your camber negative. I want H&R springs but I'm afraid after I install I'm going to rub in the front, but the rear I know will be fine.
FYI I'm running APEX EC-7 18" with continental DWS Extreme Contact 265/35 (rear) 225/40 (front)

Hey bud. As someone close to embarking on a coilover installation, I wondered if you had any issues with the front wheel/tyre rubbing your ST shock?

I hear that some people suffer this and it's cured by a wheel spacer.

If you didn't have this issue, did you have any camber aiding mods that may have helped to avoid it?
