I would be afraid that it would be red flag to people to mess with my car. Like putting a big "Don't touch my car" sign out. I can also guarantee that they leave lots of scratches in the clearcoat. Like I said - they are hard, not soft.

I just found of sheet of 3/4 inch foam (used as packing in something i bought) and screwed it to the garage wall where my door edge might hit the wall. Has done a good job for me.
