I'm looking for some track wheels. Preferably 17x8.5 40-45+ Do you think a 235 would be too narrow? I'm afraid of putting 245 square because it might rub etc. let me know what you think. Send me a pm or reply here is great! |

If you roll your rear fenders and dial in some front camber, 245/40/17 street tires are definitely doable all around on this car as well. This is a great bang for your buck setup. We prefer it over the 235 setup because we like meaty tires for their aesthetics and their performance!

245/35/18 and 265/35/18 (Bridgestone S-04) on staggard ARC 8's on a stock 135i convert with the sport package. I put them on to see how they would look, expecting to take them off if/when they rubbed in the front, but they dont. Dinan camber plates, KWv3's, and M3 F&R arms are going on soon. |

I'm about to pull the trigger on some 18" ARC 8's. 8.5/45, 9.5/62 and I have a tire fitment question.
Using PSS tires, Dinan camber plates, M3 front ctrl arms and KW V1 with moderate lowering - what's the best tire widths for spirited driving with a few track days? I know the rears can go fairly wide 265/275, and I was thinking I could do 245/35 in the front? Is this reasonable given my current set up? Thanks.

I have Bridgestone s04's in 245/35's and 265/35's on staggered ARC8's and they fit well with the setup your considering with -2.5 camber in the front and -1.5 in the rear and no fender work. In the pics of my car in the link above I also have 3mm spacers for front strut clearance. (The 9.8" section width 245's very lightly rubbed the front strut, I drove it 300 miles before adding spacers.) IMO for serious track day use you'll want stiffer springs than the KW's come with, especially in the rear. Don't get me wrong, I can drive my car a lot faster than stock but it still is not completely neutral and the car still understeers at mid to high speeds when pushed hard. I plan to drive my car as-is this summer since I just did all these mods and install a LSD this winter and look at possibly stiffer rear springs. |

David, do you know if the front PSS tires will rub in a 245/35 size if I have KW's with progressive front springs, M3 arms, 3mm spacers and Dinan camber plates?
Just ordered my Arc8s 8.5ET45 and 9.5ET62 wheels and I was going to order tires tomorrow. Don't want to rub. Thanks

Great update, thank you for providing more insight on the PSS on the 1-series. Did you use any spacers for the front to clear the KW struts? If so, what size?

Yes, I forgot this important part. I used 3mm spacers on the front. I could have got away with no spacer but it was SO close ~1mm - so the spacer is a issuance policy.

Do you do wheel and tire packages or just wheels?
Could you pm me a price for a 1-series fitment (et45,et62) set of wheels (gunmetal) and for same wheels with toyo R888 (if you do packages)? Would be local pickup and can pay in whatever form gets me the best deal. Thanks
