I just had a look at my rears and they actually have a fair way to go until they reach the wear indicators. I figured they must be on their way out as the back end is pretty slippery, especially in the wet. Seems that despite the remaining tread, torque > run flat grip, even on light throttle. Guess i'll just have to be careful and maybe start short shifting way early.

Mine are a year old and have done 27kkms and have maybe 2mm left to the indicators.
I drive it pretty damn hard all the time and god knows why they're lasting this long. I buy 250$ tyres for my skylines and they don't even last this long and they are pretty crap, and hard tyres compared to the Re050's. Perth roads are easier on the tyres? :P

Easier on tyres i'm guessing would result from less grip, which makes sense given my constantly slippery back end!

over 19ks on the OEM tyres. Still plently of life left even after a drift day at Sandown...
1 nail in each of my rear tyres - thank goodness for tyre insurance Just trying to work what the best option for non RFTs and where to get them from. |
