Performance Steering Wheel "Trim" - Yay or Nay?

Thinking about getting the alcantara trim seen here on the Perf Wheel.

This is just the trim portion of the Perf Wheel that surrounds the multi-function buttons.

I figure this would compliment the Perf Knob and eBrake nicely without having to spend on the complete Perf Wheel.

What do you think?

Keep us posted - this could be a basic mod if it's really possible.

For people who have the performance steering wheel or the trim: how does it stand up to wear? Does it fade and get worn out quicker than the leather wheel?

I think if you get the trim you need to make that the theme of the interior (i.e. alcantara shift knob, boot, e-brake, ect.) Just my 2 cents.

Just to clarify, the trim is like only 60 bucks and what it is is the "V" shaped area which is underneath the multifunction knobs and down the center.

This trim does not include the left and right thumb rest areas as this is part of the full wheel.

yes this was my thinking as well. The trim should finish off the other upgrades you listed.

I don't like the trim on the steering wheel cover. It makes sense where you grip the wheel, but all over like that makes it look like a furry wheel. Too much, IMO.

I have the performance steering wheel and that V shaped trim also in alcantara. I really like both. I say go for it if it fits.

It really shouldn't be that difficult to install the V trim. I have the installation manual for the perf steering wheel and it didn't look that complicated. I'll have to look again tho.

That's too bad, but not surprising. I would like the grips in alcantara, but I wondered how you could switch the material.
