Key Fob Buttons not working

I recently had the battery cable recall done on my 135i. Since then, the buttons on my key fob haven't been working. It has comfort access and those features work fine, but the actual unlock and lock button on the key fob doesn't work.

The batteries were replaced about two weeks ago so I don't think it's that. My other key fob does still work (the one I didn't take to the dealer).

Does something on this remote somehow need to be reset? I would prefer not having to take it to the dealer to get this fixed.

Thanks

Ok it seems to be fixed now. I found a thread somewhere suggesting you hold the key in the key slot for 20 seconds then start the car a couple times with the key in the key slot.

After trying that, the key works now. I guess since I never put it in the key slot, it didn't get a chance to re-sync after the dealership messed with the battery.

Who knows? Anyway, that worked for me if anyone else ever has this issue.
