Anyone buy one of these for your US Spec convertible?

Yes - it's a great item. Cuts wind buffeting by about 80%. If you have a vert, you want one of those.

They come included with our Aussie spec verts (at an enormously marked up base price). Fantastic. Mine only comes out on the odd occasion I need to carry rear seat passengers. Makes a huge difference, shame about the butt-ugliness.
Cheers, Alf

I bought mine almost 2 years ago. They work very well. I remember paying $246 though.

Yeah good investment if you wanna keep the missus happy.
Roof down + wind deflector on + windows up = missus hair still in place when we get to the destination
= less complaints

Don't really need this item. If you want less wind just roll up windows. If you want even less keep top up. Not worth $400-$500.

The only reason you "need" the wind deflector is to enjoy your convertible. If you'd rather leave the top up, you could save money and buy the coupe.

Windows up works well enough for me but it looks a bit dorky and is not as effective as the wind deflector. If you expect (or hope) to have someone with long hair ride in your car with the top down, I would get the deflector. I had a date comment about not needing to put her hair up (she was pleasantly surprised). I put the deflector down to show her why and got an excited request to put it back up.

Minor for those of us with short hair but not so minor to those with longer hair.

Jim

Worth the investment if you want to cut down the wind in the cabin. Makes a huge difference. I paid 275 from a seller in the UK.
