10,500 mile trans-American June road trip - pictures
From June 1 through June 30 I traveled the US to discover its amazing roads and scenic beauty. Here are a few pictures I took along the way, high resolution (10mp) versions available upon request (pm me w/ your email). My car is but spattered, grimy, brake dust encrusted in many, but it was the road trip of a lifetime and I'm thrilled at the experience.

So awesome! A cross-country road trip is definitely on my list of things to do. I have some trans-Atlantic and down-under destinations to check off my list first.

Great photos. You weren't by chance in Springfield today were you? I spotted my first ever 1er not at a dealership, parked on a side road, and it was a white 135i.

Doing that is on my "things to do before I die" list. Did you travel alone?

Great pics would love to see more! We should all be so lucky one day to get a month off to drive cross country. Few of us will ever be able to say that we spent a month exploring our own country.

Yup, thats me. I'm at Reliable BMW having a service and airbag replaced (faulty?) since I put a full service interval on the car between May and June.

I used car washes. I'm not afraid to use the brush when it gets nasty, I just spray it off before I wield it on my car. Bug and tar remover goes a really long way after a day of driving and rapidly collecting bugs in the sun.

I tried to plug all that into Google Maps but it refuses to calculate that many waypoints. There are a at least a half dozen other sites I visited along the way that thats the quick version.

Cool. Shame I wasn't in my one and not in a hurry or I would have stopped and said hey. You're probably one of very few 1ers in that area of Missouri.

I actually saw a SGM 135i with Missouri plates on Glenstone yesterday. There is a black 135i and a SGM 128i vert at Fort Leonard Wood. I used to be at FLW but I'm in Kansas now.
