Can someone confirm that you can turn off PDC through iDrive?

You can disable the PDC visual display (at least on my version of Idrive software - pre CIP19). I have never disabled it to see if it also disables the audio. There is no separate disable for the audio only.

Hmmm, hopefully it also would disable the audio, since that's what I think I might find annoying.

I know there is a PDC option in iDrive. I also know it has a PDC check box. Not sure exactly what it disables...

Nope, You can only disable the PDC visual display if you have Idrive, but not the beeping.

On the my 545 with PDC, the button that turns it on can be used to turn it off if you hit it while it is beeing.

No way to disable beep on your willing, except to push PDC every time you want it off.
You may ask to set the volume of beeping from a minimum to a maximum (3 levels I think) when you have a new CIP updated it is very easy to ask desired volume setting.
Only BMW dealer can adjust volume setting.

Ah...? I think we're talking about a 3 series here not a 5 ??? The E90 does not have all of those adjustments.

AFAIK PDC (Park Distance Control) with iDrive are the same on E90(3) and E60(5)

Calm down! There isn't supposed to be a PDC button for US cars. You can turn it off by clicking the i-drive knob.

That just reverts you to the previous screen, not turns it off....?

Hence the option to disable the on-screen part.

The PDC Button is only availble when you have front PDC.
