No angel lights (non Xenon cars) = no need for angel light mod

i'm really wondering something. Why don't my GP thunder bulb color look anything like ones posted. I have 8500k. The bulbs are just whiter no blue at all and very dim sometimes invisiable in daylight.

So does replacing the bulbs, with these kind change the actually headlight? or just the angel eyes? Im confused on whether or not the actually headlight projection is changed.
