Started a new calendar event for 14-15 May

Here is the Program for the weekend:

Meeting on Saturday at the Fachhochschule on the B51 in Trier at +/-1400
Departure from there at +/-1430 over the Vulkaneifel and Wittlich to Gerolstein (150 Kilometer)
Arrival around 1730 in Gerolstein, in the Vulkaneifel, at the Hotel
"Seehotel am Stausee"
There the swimmingpool, Sauna and so may be used at conveniance.
Common dinner and after that still a beer in the lobby.
The next morning after breakfirst we will be leaving at around 1030 in direction of the Nürburgring. We should arrive there at around 1200.
We will then meet the others on the parking „Zum Brünnchen“ at 1315. Then the people may go an visit the racing centre or go to make a few rounds on the Ring.
The departures for home are at around 1630

Directions:

From the main car park leave and turn right at the roundabout. Follow the road to the end and turn right at the T junction. 100 yards go under the track and at the T junction turn left. 500 yards take first left. Follow that road for maybe 1 mile. Pass Pflanzgarten and continue for 400 yards. Brünnchen is on your left with a large car park. There is an overflow carpark on the right.

I got this off a ring web site. I know you can see the viewing area from the road.

I know Bruchel is just down the road but are there and Esso stations around the area. One I found online said it was closed.

No. Make sure you bring some Euros 'cause the nearest ESSO is Veeeeeeeeery far.

There is a no name gas station just down the street from the 'Ring Museum & Werk. This little gas station has one of THE BEST model collections (all for sale) that I have ever seen in Germany. They sell alot of cool Ring stuff there. But yea... bring some euros for good German SuperPlus.

So... what time will everyone be there? Meeting @Bruenchen?

On Sat morning, I'll be visiting/maybe doing the Bitburg races and then head up to Gerolstein, bringing my wife and two 15-year old teenagers.

I anticipate arrival around 1700-1800 time frame.

Looking forward to some good discussions and driving fun.

Yeah...I'll be there at the hotel Sunday morning...I think the plan is to go over together....just look for 20+ 1's and I think you'll find us ;-)

Awesome! Sounds like you guys had a great time. I wish I could have been there but it's about 6 mo. yet till I'm in country. If you guys go next year I'll be there. It's impressive you got that many of you there and away from work. You definitely have a solid enthusiast base over there, it's hard to get people together over here stateside.
