Coding Headlights

Hello all!

I am looking to pick up a pair of either Spyder (Sonar) headlights or Depo's pretty soon. Hoping to pair those with an Mtec 4300k HID kit. I am pretty handy when it comes to putting things together however the "coding" is something that is new to me. My questions are:

1. Do both of these headlights require coding?
2. What is needed for the coding?
3. How difficult is it?

Thanks so much in advance. I look forward to your responses!

They both should be plug and play.

DEPOs are more directly similar in design as OEM.

SONAR you have to wire the angel rings yourself prior to getting them to work.

No coding necessary to make them work. The only coding would be optional as the DEPO rings use the parking lights when on. Which means that your ambers will be on too.. You would have to code them to the city lights if you would want to run them as DRLs with no side amber.
