Poll: How Many 330 Owners will Debadge when 335 Arrives?
I know very few 330 people debadge their cars. I happen to like the car without the model number and I have a 330.
Now that the 330 is going to be a 335, I wondered how many 330 owners plan to debadge their cars. I got my 330 last Friday and am thinking of doing right now when the adhesive is new. Larry |

Ridiculous reason for debadging.
If you like the look (i.e. clean look) of the rear deck, like I do, debadge. But debadging because of a new model with a higher number is bordering on being a poseur.

This brings up a good question....I think the 330i is a very recognized as a high class car and you shouldn't need to debadge for the reason that there is a higher model out now. Also I love the look of a debadged car.
Ps. I am going to debadge my 335i

I'm gonna put AMG on mine. I think its cool and matches well with BMW. ( sarcasm all the way! )
Actually, I'm indifferent to debagging. I'm one the few here who hates ( okay strong word, I know ) the exterior, but loves the car otherwise - except cupholders. I think people who tend to/more likely to debadge have the lower end models. So, I would hazzard to guess that since the number 330 is between 335 and 328, its likely that you won't see too many that are debagged.... whoops, I mean debadged.... ( the car, not the driver in the last case ) |

I'm going to wait till the M3 comes out to debadge as it will be more likely to make me feel inferior with my lowly 330i. I may buy an extra 5 badge though so I can rebadge my car as a 335i so I won't feel quite so inadequate.

330 debadge
Now, I may be wrong. But the 335i is only in a couple, right? I've never liked debadging. Where I'm from in PV, most people do it to hide inferiority. Although my 330i will have less power than the 335i coupe, it's still a $45k car that's great. I feel there's no reason to hide that. But if one does it merely for looks, that's cool.

people debadge for a clean look. Im planning on debadging my 335. I got the 335 for the engine, not so people know what im rolling. remember the car is for yourselves, not others. also people that know thier bmw's will be able to know if the car is a 328, 330, 335 or 325 due to things other than the badge

When I was in Germany I noticed that the vast majority of BMWs and Mercedes were debadged. It was rare to see one that actually had the badging on them. Just wondering why debadging is so common in Germany? Audis seemed to have their badges though. And BMW 316i's were commonly badged.
Just wondering.

No need to debadge! It's like 325 owners debadging no sleepers here. If you were adding a turbo on a 330 and want to pose as a sleeper than more power to that owner.

Why debadge when you can use the 5 from the 335 badge, and make your 330 into a 530i?
