Note the BMW passing while he absentmindedly changes lanes. Was the BMW riding in his blind spot ? They should say " it's instinct to protect leaves you free to let your mind wander while you drive". They make it sound like somehow this makes you a better driver.. Just the opposite.

I agree. I'm horrified by all these people that seem to need blind spot monitoring, lane assist, and all sorts of other "driver's aids" because they either can't drive or pay attention while doing so.

We wouldn't need these stupid warning systems in our cars if people focused on the only thing you're supposed to while driving...DRIVING! The only reason why these warnings were developed is because people don't pay attention. And I have a feeling these things are just going to make it worse.

Holy crap this is annoying.

F%&^&*ing learn to drive! That includes adjusting your seat and mirrors properly!!! If you can see the side of your car in your side mirrors, they are WAAAAYYYYYY off.

there was an insurance ad a little while back that had a line - "if the law didn't require it, i wouldn't have it" WTF - no auto insurance.... that one blew me away.. [direct auto w/ red logo i think]

I thought the same when I saw this commercial. Instead, they show why they really have all those safety devices and have someone with their face buried in their phone #ingbullshit.

That stuff is there but I wonder how well it really works. The last thing I want is my car binging at me even more.
