How should I remove grease?

I have oil/grease from what seems to be leaking from the truck latch. Some of the grease feels like it's hardened on the paint. What's the best way to remove it?

If it hasn't etched into the clear coat a wash and clay bar should suffice. If it has you might need to compound and polish.
