Brand New 135i already PHAILING me =(

Picked up a Sedona Red 135i with m sport navi etc. It had 3036 miles when i picked it up on last Friday. On Saturday it had a 6 second crank and I was like o god please no.... Service engine came on then turned off again so i ignored it.... It is now Thursday and it happened again at work when I was going to lunch, long crank and service engine light came back on.... I used my AUTOBOSS on it and it wasnt reading and fuel levels do u guys think its the HPFP? I am sending in for service next week I am just a bit frustrated as I just got the car 6 days ago....

Will do I just hope they do it right off the bat and not try to BS me... My dealership is Pacific BMW its filled with a bunch of retards, all they try to do is delay and try to charge me for dum things... I mean ive had the car for 6 days!!! when I bought the car from the they refused to give me a loaner and i had to pay $500 to drive a rental from Hertz which the windshield cracked and i HAD to pay for that as well becuz the insurance on the car wouldn't cover it. If they try the same BS on not giving me a loaner this time im gonna be heated BUT i still love my car

Sorry to hear about your issues, as soon as your SES light comes on, don't ignore it, get it taken care of because your HPFP is on its way out. I had mine replaced at 1200 miles and *knock on wood* I've had no more issues 5000+ miles later.

Better for it go out now and you get the latest part and software update. At least that's how I felt.

At least now I have some hope that I'm running a reliable pump.

You should get a loaner, and if you don't, don't hesitate to escalate your complaint.

I know how you feel! I bought my car used with 18,000 miles. Two weeks later the HPFP fails on me.... Haven't had problems since, crossing my fingers for now!

Long crank... sputter sputter.

Sounded like a dragster for a few seconds (HUUUUUUGE cam) and then I get the limp mode light.

good luck to you.....I've seen that light way too many times already......on HPFP #3 right now....hope ur car isnt following in my path. The driving experience is phenomenal, but the comfort of not knowing whether my car will start correctly each day does not outweigh it.

I didn't think much of it considering my my cousins friend is the manager at Pacific BMW even tho I hate the place the car was a lease assumption 450 a month i couldn't pass on the offer, I mean the thing is fully loaded and it was the only MT i have been able to find.... its like finding a manual bmw is nearly impossible now I would have bought one if i had the time to order one like that i would have but I didn't so i thought ehhh why not I sold my s2000 and fell in love with this it had everything I wanted except the interior color which i kind of like now....

It just bugs me that u would think they would have checked the car before they sold it but i guess not....

It boggles the mind how something in that price range can break that quickly :-(
I have however not heard of anyone having these problems in Denmark, at least not from anyone on the forums in denmark that are bmw related. My own 135 is running fine with no issues at 38.000 km

Probably too late to be of any use to you now but for future reference, Yes, if your light was on and then went out that will be stored in the computer for a while. When my long cranks started my SES light didn't come on for a while, but of course I knew what the problem was. I called the dealership to tell them and they said there was nothing they could do unless the SES light had come on.

Well a few days later my light came on, so I made an apointment, between when I made the appointment and the day I was supposed to take it in, it went out but it was not an issue since it had been stored.

Also of note, I had long cranks and a SES light but the car never drove out of character, nor did I ever go into limp mode.
