135i delivery dates?
I'm out here! I have my 135i on order at what could be a thumping great $85000 when specied up. Lucky USA...at US$36000 they're living it up on borrowed money from the rest of the world.
Any idea when the OFFICIAL release date in Oz is? I have heard many dates ranging from Feb to August. The best I have from BMW Oz is March 2008. |

Hi Steve,
Great! I don't feel so alone now! I have ordered a Montego Blue 135i. Word is that it'll be more like mid 2008 before we see our cars. A friend of a friend is the GM for the 2 BMW dealers here in Tassie and that is what he told me yesterday. I'd say that he would be a reliable source of info. He will be getting back to me regarding exact pricing of the car I want in the next few days, will keep you informed. Australia is only getting around 200 1 series coupes next year made up of 135s and 125s variants, the US is getting the bulk of the production. So there is likely to be at the most 100 135i coming down under for the first year. Tasmania is getting allocated TWO!! It will be a rare vehicle on the road indeed, and there will be a looooong waiting list. Good thing about getting in early is that we are in a position to order our cars exactly as we want them as they have not yet been manufactured. What colour/interior are you going for? |

Hi again,
Thanks for the info. As I was drooling over the pics of the first guy in London's white 135 that appeared on 1addicts today and the phone rang (it's friggin weird this) and it was my Perth dealer asking me to pop in and choose colours. He said production for Oz starts in Feb and I guess delivery mid March so I'm a lot excited today! For some strange reason I thought I had months to decide on specs so still have no idea but I'll focus over Xmas....what a lovely time to dream. I'll get that BMW specification choosing software to work yet....damned tricky. Steve |

 delivery mid march! If this is true I'd be very happy.
Just make sure you don't take too long to decide on your car as there are VERY limited numbers coming to oz. |

More info..... just got a call from my dealer.
My prefered colour Montego Blue is aparently n/a in Australia. Closest would be Lemans Blue so that is what I am going for. FYI Chrome window surround, Multifunction Sports Steering Wheel, Cruise, Xenon Headlights are all standard on the 135i. Sat Nav is a whopping $4200.00.:eyebulge: Still have to give him an answer on whether I'll take this option as I have a portable Sat Nav unit. Built in i-drive has other additional function that would be nice though.... Anyway I put my deposit down. My car will be March production and should be here by May. |

Hey guys, what will it be priced at? I want a white car with anthracite wheels. That is the colour combo I specced for one of my current cars but I got impatient and bought a cancelled order.

I still haven't got a firm price from my dealer. It would be around $80,000 is all I know. With such a rare/new model I am not expecting much discounting. All the wheels come in the same colour, just different designs.

I ordered my car on Friday. Going for white, but not sure about interior yet. Do you guys think beige will go with white? ALso, what additional functionality does the i-drive/nav combo give? I am not so keen on the nav, but sometimes the additional functions make it worth getting. I am also getting the active lights, comfort access and front PDC.

Another 135 tragic
Order in for Sparkling Graphite and black leather. Hope to catch Feb build if dealer is to be believed. Would like Black trim, but worried about fingerprints etc, so will probably go Brushed Aluminium. Opting for SatNav (gadget geek), and iPod USB adapter. Hoping my iPhone will plug in and "work" through system

Congratulations Dodgy! Feb built should arrive here in April. My dealer told me the first batch to Oz will be march build, making that May delivery. I think the official launch will be in May, so out cars are likely to be March build. Can't wait!!!!

First batch will be Feb build. Although these are BMW Aust spec cars and not customer spec cars. All customer cars will be released in May. Where did you order yours Dodgy? I think it would be great if we all share our info here on this thread as we get them. We will be getting drips and draps over the next few weeks I think. I can't wait!

Hi, I am new here! I placed a deposit on a 135i in Brisbane 7 months ago, last week I placed my order specifications, LeMans blue, alaska grey with grey poplar, stereo upgrade, comfort access, and anti dazzle mirrors. It priced up to just over $93k on road, they calculated the vehicle price at $80k. Is this about the price others in Australia are paying? I had option of Feb or march build as both will be here before the Australian launch date of May 16 and no cars will be released before that date. i went for March as they may have small alterations month to month (as in fit and finish). There will be a 135 at the Brisbane motor show in Feb.

May 16? Was hoping it would be early May as I will be overseas in mid May. Will have to cancel that trip then! I can't believe you are waiting a whole year for this car! One of my current cars had a 9 month wait, but I ended up just picking up a cancelled order as I could not imagine waiting 9 months - for any car! I would be bored and ready to move on to the next car by then.
Good point about going for the March build. I had the first batch Cooper S back in 2002, and the quality was terrible. But then again I have also had first batch 911, TT, 3 series coupe and they were fine. So it isn't always an indication I guess. The 1 series has also been in production for awhile now, and other RHD market (UK) are already getting their 135i. Btw, where will our 1 series be made? |

Swift135 - wow $93k! You mean those options cost you $13k? I think a lot of things are standard on the 135 we're getting here in oz like leather, rear park sensors, xenons, chrome window surround, anti dazzle mirrors, auto lights and wipers, cruise. So basically you are paying $13k for the stereo upgrade and comfort access! Better clarify with your dealer.
I am optioning i-drive/nav ($4200) and metallic paint ($??). I think grey poplar trim is a N/C item. My dealer still hasn't given me a final price though. BTW good to have a definite launch date. The car will be in Melbourne at the end of Feb, going to try to get there for a look. WAY - good idea to share info here as it comes to hand as we Aussies appear to be a lot more in the dark about the car than our American and Euro conterparts.

I'm gate crashing this as although not an Aussie, I am one of the few other Southern Hemisphere inhabitants here and as we do not have our own forum - obviously not enough of us - I hope you don't mind me gate crashing.
d3syd, you guys down under seem to be falling behind what is happening here in SA, unless I have just been particularly lucky. I remember when I joined the forum in early/mid December you seemed to be in exactly the same position where you are now. In the meantime things have moved very quickly here. I have been to the dealer and placed my deposit (27 December), phoned 1st week in Jan and got my allocation, last week (10 Jan) I finalised my order and my order has been accepted (with final pricing) and my baby is planned to go into production on 1 Feb. I will hopefully get my car on 9th April and all this for way less than AUD$80k.

SA135i you are welcome to chip in. I'll have to ring my dealer tomorrow to find out more of what's happening.

Thanks. So are you only expecting delivery around mid-May then by the sounds of things? At least you will get a look at the car next month at the show. I'm not sure when I will get to see one here, although the dealers did say they were expecting some 120d coupes towards the end of Jan.
