Hahaha. I asked my SA at Tischer (Kristina), and she quoted me $2500 parts and labor. So I got it done somewhere else for less than half that much.

The next time I went to Tischer, I asked for a different SA. The coordinator asked me why I didn't want Kristina again, so I pointed out that the Dinan price for M3 rear subframe bushings and front tension rods was $700 plus 8 hours labor (Tischer is a Dinan dealer).

FWIW by far the best dealer SA I have worked with was Tom Wolfe, who is now at Bel Air BMW. It might be worth calling him for a quote.

Some other shops around here that charge reasonable prices in my experience are Induktion Motorsports and Urban's Auto Service.

Hey Gary,
I thought you were using RRT for service. Maybe I misunderstood?

RRT is too far for me. I've been taking my car to Induktion lately. They are really nice people and very reasonable.

I'm going to contact forum member Clem for some installs since he lives close to me and gets all these good reviews from BMWCCA honchos, but I'm sticking with Induktion for tires, fluids, alignment and so forth.

it sounds like all these places (induktion, RRT...) are decent.

I'm still within the BMW maintenance plan, with 2 more years of warranty. I may not do anything for a while...

A buddy of mine had his front subframe messed with during some work on his 2006 Honda Accord 6-speed, and he says it's never been the same since...

That alone freaks me out, but perhaps it's just the front subframe on a FWD car that is more crucial...

I don't think you should worry about rear subframe bushings causing a warranty problem. If you have it done at an independent, the dealer won't even know. Anyway, I've never heard of anyone having a warranty problem for that.

Can anyone please post a picture of them?

How much do they really cost?
How much is intall $$$/Time?
Will the dealer do this?

I see some advertised on turnermotorsport for $400 a front set, and a rear set, making the total in bushings $800 or so!!!

Thanks.
$251 or there abouts for the set of four and 6-7 hours of labor to install with proper tools.
