BMW Welt 4.0!!!

It's not the temperature, it's how hard the fan spins during cool down. All most all European cars are termed cold climate.

All US, Mexico/South America, Austraila, South Africa, Middle East, and parts of Asia are "Hot Climate"

Subtle differences but we get larger radiators, and larger volume water pumps.

THis is all I want to get coded on my car, does anyone know if the people that are going to be coding at WELT 4.0 do them?

My code list:

01. Mirrors fold in and out with key fob (when car closes and opens, they fold accordingly)

02. Enable DVD in motion on iDrive screen (Watch movies on the go)

03. Delete front amber lights (front amber lights only turn on with turn signal)

04. Digital speed in gauge cluster (mph/kph no more squinting to see kph)

05. Enable rear daytime running lights (what it sounds like makes it look sexy, blacklines)

06. Disable the iDrive initial warning screen (this is just annoying)

07. Turn on traffic notification on CIC navigation system (traffic notifications in europe…stay, etc)

08. Turned off tire pressure sensor system and activated european system based on wheel speed.
(save money on damn TPMS, and not worry about wheels or tires)

09. Increase the voltage that the angel eye rings produce (brighter lights, blind people).

10. Activation of "comfort closing": windows and sunroof may be closed by holding the lock button on the remote control key

Looks like a good list. What part of the tails light up for rear daytime running lights, anybody have a pic? Does anybody have a full list of whats available? I'd also consider the "double blink hazards", and the removal of the lamp test on startup.

The rear DRL would be the same lights like when you switch on the headlights at night.



As for Saturday's dinner meeting... we have been invited us to the Stammtisch München (the guys who are organizing the car show). It will be held at a very nice Bavarian Gasthaus close to our Hotel/Motel One. See this thread for more info...

Well there is still time to get settled and make the Munich trip in May. If you are in Spang you are only 45min to an hour from the Ring depending on what village you decide to settle in. There is a handful of us here from Spang so we'll see each other around. If you can't make the Welt trip you should consider making the trip to Stelvio!

Heck I'm all over the place. I will work in spang and live in zweibrucken. So I'm closer to ramstein. Wife's german and we are close to her parents who are retired and are part time baby sitters. Win win! Actually headed down to garmish tomorrow for a little vacation. Been in Germany before. From 96-01. So happy to be back.

Why not! That drive is awesome! But no, I will be ghosting at my buddy's house up there during the week. Possibly coming home once during the week. It's about an hour drive. Love driving the autobahn!

Rudi, that is the JW Augustiner in the Viktualienmarkt, München. I think there are like SIX of them all in that area of Marienplatz! You can not go wrong with any of them!

You won't need reservations. You only need reservations for large groups like we will have/be.

Last year we went to this JW Keller; Zum Augustiner - Neuhauserstr. 27 - 80331 München. Its just down the main drag(Strasse) in between the Marienplatz and (walking toward)the Hauptbahnhof & water fountains...

Here is a nice video to "wet" your appetite for German beer and food!

Another nice place to visit (IF the weather is nice!) is the Hofbrauhof runs an outdoor beer garten in the English Gardens, just North of Marien Platz. Its a little bit of a walk. But its inside the English Gardens(Park) and its really nice on a warm evening. The Beer Garden is by the historic Chinese Tower(Torm) and its easy to find bc you just keep walking towards the German umpa-pa band that plays music from inside the Chinese Tower!

Monday's Gross Glockner Pass tour... from Kufstein, Austria to Gross Glockner. Overnight stay at a hotel near Kufstein, Sunday evening. Drive back home Monday evening. We will drive from the BMW Welt down to Kufstein with a detour to the world famous Tatzelwurmstraße. Kind of the German version of the Tail of the Dragon.

Monday's Gross Glockner Pass tour... from Kufstein, Austria to Gross Glockner. Overnight stay at a hotel near Kufstein, Sunday evening. Drive back home Monday evening.
