Almost lost my 1 series...

421 south doing the speed limit on a wet road, took a corner and the rear end slides to about a 80 degree angle. A few left and right slides and finally pull it back into line.... Rear tire hit the side of the banking and has a few minor scuffs.... I had the whole family with me and I am pretty sure the wife crapped herself.....
Anyway, wheels and tires were just ordered. Same wheels as pictured but hyper black in color....

I'm sure you've learn your lesson... DSC will not save your ass every time... drive slow when it's wet.

I love the tread pattern on that tire, but does it have good traction in wet conditions?

They're VERY good in wet conditions. I had them on my GTO and was shocked at how good they were. The thing that would prevent me from buying them again is the road noise. As they wear they get pretty loud, and that's even rotating them often. I'm guessing on a staggered setup it would be even worse.

No form of traction or stability control will ever completely prevent losing control of your vehicle.
They can only respond when you have already lost control.

Too bad, man. Glad to hear you and the family are ok.
And the car =P

Nice rims, though. Good excuse to get new wheels

Exactly which tires are those?
According to our good friends at Consumer Reports, the BFG G-forces were the 3rd highest rated performance tires. Only the P-zeros and Michelin PS2s were better.

sounds like a classic tank-slapper. skip the wheels/tires, and go to a HPDE. that'll improve your wet-weather handling much more.
