Out of curiosity - Are you running mods? If so, can you say what they are, please? And does the dealer know about them?

No, it just plugs in down at the accelerator to make the throttle a bit more touchy. Anyway its a very minor mod so didn't bother removing it.

I had a similar thing with my N55 recently. Car has only done around 8000ks it wasnt that bad but on a cold start the engine would run rough at traffic lights and stuff. If i put the car into neutral it stopped and never happened again.

Took it to BMW, they just replaced my Fuel Injector in Cylinder 6, runs a treat now.

Which dealer mate ??

As there have been a few posts recently here in the Oz forum where the HPFP has not been covered by the dealer..

It would be good to know for the forum members, which dealers cover the HPFP once out of warranty and which dealers don't..

Zuzu, I'll be happy to share which dealer it is after I pick the car up tomorrow with zero bill!

All seems a bit too good to be true to me but fingers crossed. Never had a dealer be so helpful before.

Hi Harpoon,
Are you the original owner as BMW have offered me 50% on the HPFP on the basis that I am the 2nd owner. Same as you I am a year out of warranty?

Yeah I've had it since new softy180. I guess that helped.

Thanks Zuzu. Has restored my faith in the system slightly After reading about your service experience I'm super paranoid.

I should give North Shore a go. I havnt had as much luck as you guys. I am about a year out of warranty also.

I am just not sure if they will be as inclined to replace it when they see big shiny catless DP's underneath.

May send them an email.
