I spoke to Aleks and it sounded fairly easy to install.
I'm considering the front and rear camera kit. I'm also interested in hearing people's feedback if they have it or similar. |

the FAQ states this
How many devices can be connected to the Video module? The Video module has 2 AV Inputs, 2 Video Outputs, and 1 Audio Output. Only 2 devices can be connected to the AV Inputs. However, a Video switcher module (not included with the kit) can be added to split the video signal. That will give you the ability to add extra devices. assuming 1 for the idrive can the other be sent to a recorder of some description then i dont need a go pro, just a hd camera mounted say on the front foggie for some cool track footage. |

If you're just after GoPro like functionality ... get a GoPro.
I think what you mention can be done but I don't think it'll be as good as a GoPro. Having a camera mounted on the front foggie around a track would probably be a bit boring. Moving the GoPro around getting different angles etc would be the go. Personally I like the parking cameras just cause they look cool and make better use of the pretty screen! |
