Build your own 128i on BMWUSA
For some reason, you can no longer order leather interior in a 128i? The option is just not there.

i'd guess the leather is becoming standard so that there isnt a leatherette version.
it wouldd be odd for a premium car company to take away an option instead of just making the option standard (think: power windows and locks)

The 135i configurator was having a problem in that it would not show different seats for leather vs. leatherette. Looks like BMW not only didn't fix it, but the screwed up the 128i as well.
If you go to the Options page, both the no cost Value Package (including leather) and the Premium Package are listed. So leatherette is still standard, with leather a no cost option - at least for this year... http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...ndOptions.aspx Tom |

The 2011's are no longer in production. I suspect that BMWNA is in the process of updating the system to reflect MY2012 changes and it is probably just buggy at the moment.
