Sell 1M

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if I go to sell what do you reckon is better return to stock or sell modified? Was looking at it and wondering what i would do should the option to sell arose. Also car sales or forum? TBH having car stock is ok but the way it is now is ummm how can I say.... Way to much fun.

Any thoughts would be great guys or did anyone trade theirs in?

P.s Just seeing what people have done. Not sure yet to sell or not but let me know if your interested.

Give the forums a go without the option of returning the car to stock. Sell it as is.

If you go to sell it elsewhere i would return it to stock and sell off the mods

I guess the question arises as to why you are selling the car?

Its a pretty accomplished car in all respects as far as I can tell.

Also would you consider parting out the car?

I love the car absolutely love it. Was just seeing what people have done if they did move on. Personally I want to do more to the car.

As for part out I would have to get an OEM full exhaust to bring it back to stock. but part out is possible if no one wanted it modified.

Since M2 and others are coming out it may lose a bit of value so that was what also popped into my head.

I think you'll get more money by reverting to stock and selling it on carsales.

If you increase the sale price because of the mods then a lot of people won't bother calling. Also most people aren't looking for a modded car, even enthusiasts. Better off parting out in my opinion.

I would also put it on carsales, you can't beat the exposure. I put my Audi B5 A4 on carsales and thought I would have to wait ages for it to be sold because I didn't think it was a car in demand. Was sold 1 day later...

I'd go back to stock and leave the Akra on. Do you have the butterfly valve installed? Even better if you do.

I have sold two 1Ms, one with the Akra, people really wanted the exhaust. There was one guy, lol, he wanted the wheels re painted silver, the stock chrome grills and repeaters added and the exhaust swapped out. I said go find another car lol

And why do people ask why you are selling? None of their business, geez

Agreed.

I just bought a 1M, and wanted a stock one. The only mods I'd be happy with are cosmetic, such as the carbon rear lip, black grilles etc and a quality exhaust. So maybe return to stock, but leave the Akra...or sell the Akra to me

It's a raw uncompromising little beast, the Akra crackles and farts are intoxicating. Lots of noise courtesy of the rear seat removal and also the lack of sound deadening. When the tyres are warm, it's a handling beast. Will do until the M2 comes out, maybe. Lol
