18x8/+40, 18x9/+45 tire size?
235/255 seems to be the consensus from what I've searched. Would it be best to stick with that or could I get by with wider with a bit of fender rolling? I don't want it to rub..
Right now I'm on the stock suspension but eventually plan on getting some coilovers. Thanks

I would think 225/245 would be the consensus with a few preferring 225/255. When lowered, you will have to try to find tires that run narrow, especially if you go 235/255.
What brand tires do you plan? Do you plan to add some camber?

Still in the early stages of deciding what to get....just looking to be able to put the power down to the road. Summer tires definetly..
I know it's ultimately going to come down to getting an lsd someday, just trying to do what I can with tires. I've heard re-11, dunlop starspecs, and ps2 thrown around but don't have personal experience with summer/high performance tires at all.

I'm about to pull the plug on a set of MRR Lt1 wheels (hyper silver): Someone stop me if I'm making a wrong choice!
Looks: Advan RZ...ish. Looks similar but the RZs are 4x as expensive (although 2 lb lighter on each wheel) Specs:18x8 5x120 40et 18lb (F) 18x9 5x120 45et 20.5 (R) Quite a bit lighter than stock

I know the star specs are great for autox but some say that get greasy on track days. Pretty good tire in my opinion though. I have not driven the RE-11's but know a few guys running them and the grip is good but they wear quick. I don't have experience with them but I ran Bridgstone RE50a's which are not quit as sticky as the RE-11s and I killed them in 5500 miles which pissed me off. There was also about 40 autox runs on them but I expect better for a tire in that class. Because of this I am not going to go with another Bridgstone performance tire until I hear from others that they have gotten this sorted out. I switched to Hankook Ventus Evo 12's and I have put about the same miles and autox events on them as the RE50's and I have only gone though about 20% of the Hankooks and I would say I like them better as well. I did go with a wider size on the Hankooks if that makes some difference I don't know but I have a bad taste in my mount from the Bridgestone.

@ NorthwestN54: I'm running the Re-11 tires here in Florida. I've done about 8000 miles and 1 track day at Daytona Speedway. The tires are phenomenal! Best tires I've ever tried on any car! Considering fitting them on my Ferrari as well. I'm no super expert, but they are much quieter, more comfortable, decent wet grip, but the dry grip is INSANE! Mine does not even let go in launch control mode

Bumping this from awhile ago. Haven't gotten tires yet but the stock RFTs are getting thin @ 27k, need to be replaced.
Probably going to get Michelin PSS, not opposed to a bit of camber or fender rolling but I don't know much about it tbh. 225/245 "seem" thin, but if I can't go wider, that's what I'll go with. Looking for max grip while still keeping flush and not rubbing, thanks again!

Are you lowered Northwest? Either way, PSS's would be a great tire choice for a daily driver. They run pretty wide vs many other brands of tires so for sure I'd go with 225/40fr and 245/35r with your wheels, assuming they come in those sizes.

Lowered, no.....I eventually plan to get some coilovers, but that's awhile away.

The Michelins are a good choice. Those tires offer exceptional grip and they've been really popular with our customers.
