Saw an M5 today

While visiting the dealer and BS'ing with my CA, she showed me a brand new Alpine White M5 that had just come in. WOW. It was purty! Too bad I didn't have a camera with me.

I haven't seen an M5 in real life, but on Monday I saw a 5er with the new sports pack when I popped in to the dealer - wow !!! Suddenly I want a 5-series very badly.

The car just looks awesome. And on the inside you get a super thick sports steering and M-badging everywhere. I think the 5-series sports pack looks better than the 3 series with the sports pack. In fact you can buy a 525i with the pack and it'll look almost the same as an M5 ( just don't get into a drag race )

i dont know if you guys will believe me or not but i was in guatemala in august and i saw with my own eyes a brown m5. i had to look twice and i confirmed it it had the side grills the rims and the ehxaust tips and the emblem I SCREAMED when i saw it hahaha

I saw today three M5s and one M6.What a beautiful exhaust sound .The M6 had even better sound.The M5 is a little lower in tone than M6.M6 is like a racing car after 6000rpm.Hell what a sound.

BTW - M5 board has a member with an M5 AND a M6! Board showed pics of him picking up his M6 and them sitting side by side. Needless to say, I'm very jealous...

I have seen two M5s at a dealer in Ky. One was black saphire (MSRP 85k) and the other was silverstone (MSRP 91k). The silverstone is absolutely beautiful. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to talk with the owner of the silverstone M5 while he was taking delivery. He let me snoop around inside, pop the hood, etc. The M5 is definitely a fabulous machine. 14.7 inch rotors, 19 inch rims, 500 hp and a sedan to boot, what more could you ask for! In addition, the interior is nothing but quality, the perforated leather with the leather dash allows the M5 to have a remarkable presence both inside and out.

Me too! Although I think I would get quite frustrated with a car like that given the speed limits and speed traps. I get that way sometimes with my "lowly" E90. All that phenomenal power and handling and only small chances of really exercising it.

Yeah, where are going to use the power? It's more of a rich guy's bragging toy (complete with hair gel). She is a pretty machine though. Plus you have to gas up every 200 miles.
