If you don't have anything positive to add here, keep your opinions to yourself.

It's an exhaust, it's bound to look that way pretty quickly. It can however be polished.
I haven’t cleaned it up at all; it's come straight off the car - gives you an honest look at it.

It's done about 10,000KMs..

Think of it as constructive criticism. Myself, I'd love an exhaust. I was interested when I saw this thread. Interest level dropped substantially when I saw the photos.

It was just a joke. It's a forum. Get with the program. Not everything has to be positive rather personal opinions. As you can see others are not really too keen on it giving it's looks. Maybe cause I work in sales I understand what is needed to sell an item.

I think OP has learnt a lesson here, and that's if your gonna sell something with pics at least make it look decent. I'm sure if he had spent 5 minutes cleaning it up he would have made it visually appealing at the least for potential buyers.
Also you need to post it at the top of the Threads that is For Sale in OZ.

Not at all, he estolls the virtues of his decision; it's an honest look at the goods for sale. The cleaning of the goods and presenting an appealing photo is a wicked deception and ethically questionable.

I'm sorry - I've seen the error of my ways

Hang on and I'll grab my cheque book and write you a cheque for the half a thousand dollars. I'll then buy an airline ticket and fly down and pick up your one year old, filthy dirty (but honest looking) muffler. Then I can fly back home and spend my weekend washing and polishing it up so it looks like it belongs on my car.

After all, it is pretty special, and I really can't see how I could ever get a sporty sounding rear muffler any other way - especially for a mere half a thousand dollars.

WINNING !!!!!!

Can we get into a bidding war please? I believe the honesty alone is worth $1000.

Shouldn't that read E82 Coupe? Isn't the E87 the hatchback? If you look closely through the swamp water stains, it says E82 on the label.

Like MattyV, I was keen when I saw the thread heading, then spat tea out through my nose when I saw the photos. Give it a quick spit and polish, put the listing in the For Sale section, even do a quick YouTube video so we can hear what it sounds like, and you'll be a far greater shot at parting with it (oh, and offering to post at the buyer's expense helps a lot too).

Anyway, welcome to the forum D135. Some people here are a little quick to jump on misguided newbies but keep in mind that the majority of ribbing on here is in jest and no one (well, rarely) is truly having a go at you.

Can't believe you guys, bunch of ruffians - pretty unwelcoming. Poor guy is just trying to display his very soiled wares.
