Auto Rim Shop Website
Hello!
I just picked up a 135i last night and am not in love with my 261M wheels. I was curious if anyone has any experience with the above mentioned website. Their prices are quite reasonable, even if noting the rims are refinished, and they state the are OEM wheels. http://www.autorimshop.com/bmw-335is...V-kaAsms8P8HAQ |

I haven't ordered from them and was wondering the same thing.
Which style are you looking at?

Did you end up ordering from the site?

Yes, overall a good experience. Since it was a full set, it took a couple weeks to ship, but they were responsive to emails and a phone call regarding status. They are reconditioned OEM wheels - I also consider replica wheels sketchy, but there might be some reputable brands out there.

A full set of OEM 313s for $1,050 in refinished condition. I've been looking for months for a used set of wheels and keep coming up empty...this website is starting to look good.

I would be very concerned about how the wheels actually look before buying reconditioned 313s. It's such a unique and varying finish, I don't think anyone can really replicate it well. So, I'd ask for actual pics of those wheels they have before even contemplating buying. Normal alloys like the 261s and 264s are much easier to refinish correctly, but the machined ones on the 313s and the style 496s on the lifestyle edition are pretty tough. May just have to spring the $1500-1600 for a new set and figure you can sell them later perhaps as they sell within a day or two typically on here as they're rare to find for sale used as you've probably seen.

Don't order from their website. The site shows wheels as 'in stock' that they don't have and may never get. I spend an entire frustrating week back and forth with them after ordering 313's from the website. They don't have them, and it took several days for them to even figure that out. Now I'm waiting on a refund. The whole place seems disorganized.
If you want to gamble with them (and I think it is a gamble), you should call directly and don't even bother with the website. Even then, after my experience this week, I would have little faith. |
