Brembo announce partnership with BMW

http://axisofoversteer.blogspot.com/...-with-bmw.html
Brembo announce partnership with BMW!

Finally the number one complaint about BMW from hardcore enthusiasts (after weight that is) is being addressed. Brembo has announced that it will supply BMW with both disks and complete braking systems. Brembo has recently also acquired major manufacturing facilites in the US and Mexico when it bought Hayes Lemmerz's brake division.

If we can presume the 6 piston front caliper on the 135 is in fact a Brembo piece, why the e92 M3 will retain the traditional BMW single piston is a bit of a mystery. However future models will be equipped with calipers capable of sustainable stopping power.

... I too (per commment on the linked page) would like to see the official source but it was romoured here a long time ago.

Oh man, I sincerely hope it has those quick-change pads, like that picture shows. I always leave my track pads in on my cars, and wear them out between events. If they are quick-change, I can swap them, as I'm swapping out race wheels...

^^ 4 times, one each for each pad I'll be swearing at, as a slip with my wrench and mistakenly rip a knuckle off while punching the end link, trying to remove the caliper hanger bot to change the pads...
