Used ones are more likely to go for above or for how much they were new...most are 55-60k for a used 1m at the moment. It is highly unlikely you can get one for 40-45k. Not with how limited they were. Not unless the new F20 comes out with an M model.

But doesn't that piss you off lol. It's like ya I can afford 55-60k but that is used I'm seeing and that's way over msrp. Like tbh its one of the baddest cars and sweetest but obviously if you are going to lay that money out why not just by an m3-m6. So sad I guess if I don't find one I want ill save 30 grand lol and buy the 135i!!

Because an M6 is totally for a different purpose... mind as well throw in an X5M into that sentence too.

No no lol just throwing a money point out there. Sorry to mislead. Ok so I know a lot of people are going to say search already did. I'm just going to ask this one question and once it is confirmed I'm goimg to go buy a 135i. From my research the only difference from a 1m to a 135i is a tune ? And rear end? If thats the case im def just going to buy a 135i. Basically people are paying for the m badge

Yep, that's the only difference. Once you're in the car you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference between the two... You must be a "research" scientist.

No there are a lot of exterior differences but I meant I was reading some people were sayin bigger turbos fuel etc. Then some people were saying no to that ? I'm not trying to be smart or anything. Just trying to get a better input on the cars before I make any decision. You guys know way more then me lol

Its a N54 engine with a different Tune. Then there are brakes, wider track, completely different suspension, LSD, etc... which all add up to a COMPLETELY different experience behind the wheel.

You should read Maximus' recent write-up as he has a 1M and a 135. And then wade through the 1M vs tuned 135 war that occurred here. It might save you from stirring up a hornet's nest. If you have 40-45 why not look at a Cayman S?

135 does not have a LSD, it has an e-diff which is fancy talk for selectively applying brake to the spinning wheel. The 1M has a true LSD similar if not identical to the E46.

I've read / heard this on and off again on the forum and elsewhere. But, according to RealOEM, the part number for the 1M LSD is the same as the e9x M3 LSD (PN 33122283321). And the price is the same, too ($1,833.79). The LSD for the e46 M3 has a different part number (PN 33102282481) and price ($2,568.98). Am I missing something, or is our (1M) LSD the same as the LSD on e9x M3s, and different from the e46 M3 differential? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks.
