Radar detector Mute Mount

Getting my Radar Detector hard wired in on Friday (passport X70) only problem is I have no idea where to put the mute button, any suggestions?

Was considering not using the mute button cord, and just hitting the units mute button when necessary.

I just routed mine to the top left side of the rear view, and it's not bad. It's out of the way and in easy reach. Holding it down with heavy duty Velcro.
